You can see the call

• Each accepted site gets its own tracking number, so you know which page the call came from.
• Each buyer also gets their own assigned number for their calls.
• The call comes with a whisper that says "call from" and then the name we set. "Call from our business name" is fine.
• Buyers get a dashboard on CallScaler. Tracking is live, and they can listen to the recorded calls. Those recordings can go to sales and to management.
• You can set a call value there, so the worth of a call follows how long it lasted.
• The goal is 30 seconds. That is long enough to tell if the caller is serious.

What you can see

It shows your total calls and what time they called. You set the call value, and the value follows whatever you assign it to. You can see unique callers and qualified calls.

Calls are qualified, and spam is qualified too, because that extra check is already paid for. You should see fewer spam calls.

CallScaler is set so a call qualifies when it lasts at least 30 seconds. It is only considered a call when it lasts at least 90 seconds. Shorter than that, it is not considered a call.

The sites also have forms. You get the information people type in when they fill one out. CallScaler can email a finished call and can email a form fill, but only after those alerts are turned on. A finished call uses Email Call Details. A form uses form-tracking email forwarding. Neither one is automatic until that switch is on.

After they hang up

The whole conversation is recorded. Once the call ends, the transcript can be emailed to anyone on the sales team or the management team. The follow-up stays with the caller, so their information is not lost.

The business owner can see the calls and the details too. That is how you tell what a call was worth. A call about a $30,000 roof, with the appointment set and a salesman going out in a couple of days, is not the same as being told there were no calls. Both sides can see how this is working.

When we start with fresh websites, it will take time for these to rank, and that is the whole idea: getting them ranked. Until we have enough data on our rankings, how we are doing in the local community, and how many calls, visits, and click-throughs we are getting, you will not have the full picture yet.

How you pay

Pay per call, a commission, or a monthly price. Everything is negotiable. No contract, ever.

What buyers pay for a call

These are payout ranges we have seen on the call marketplace. None of these are signed contracts yet. The buyer sets the minimum length. A short call and a long call are not priced the same, and one trade pays far more than another.

• Tree service and stump removal: about $2 to $39.
• Roofing and garage floors: about $3 to $103.
• French drain: about $4 to $132.
• Water damage: about $5 to $395.
• Towing: about $10 to $30.
• Fencing: about $20 to $55.

How the price is set

What does a call cost? A 30-second call on one trade is not the same as 30 seconds on another. After 90 seconds the gap gets big, because one job can be worth far more than the other. We price the call from the trade, the city, and how long they stayed on the phone.

How do you get to a commission? If you would rather share a slice of the jobs that close, we use a percent of money you actually collect. No close, no commission.

How do you get to a monthly price? We take a normal month of calls for that city and trade, price those calls, and turn that into one monthly number. You can switch back.

What about the annual review? Once a year we look at the calls, the closes, and the price, and we change it if the work changed. Still no contract.

Commission and monthly

A typical commission is at least 5 percent. Three to five percent is the range people already get. You can get 3 percent or 4 percent just on Amazon ads. For building a website, managing it, and finding buyers, we want at least 5 percent.

When the site is getting enough calls, and the call quantity is good, we can agree on a fair monthly price. That runs from $500 to $1,500 or more a month. By going monthly you save up to 60 percent.
